PURPOSE OF ROLE:
This position will be responsible for supporting the delivery of
in-person and online support groups in Shine at a national level in
conjunction with our Shine peer facilitators and regional teams. The
Mental Health Recovery ?Support Group? Worker will work with the
Regional Mental Health Team Leaders and National Operations Manager to
ensure the highest quality of service is provided to our support group
facilitators and participants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan and ensure best practice in the delivery of Shine?s in
person and online support groups.
* Assist in planning, managing & implementing the intake, enrolment
and closing process for support groups
* Ensure group model fidelity and policies are adhered to by
facilitators and group attendees.
* Oversee procurement of support group supplies and track expenses
* Track support group statistics and outcomes
* Maintain schedules for the support group programme.
* Conduct pre-interviews and post-interviews with prospective
support group facilitators.
* Participate in the recruitment plan for support group
facilitators.
* Identify and arrange training for Group facilitators
* Maintain community partnerships in relation to the support group
programme
* Assist in coordinating and attend special events for groups and
appreciation events for facilitators.
* Develop and maintain effective outreach programmes that link into
the community and raise awareness of Shine groups.
* To observe, monitor and report on support groups and research
changing community and demographic trends and identify areas of growth
* Ensure support group programme quality standards and promote
continuous quality improvement.

who use our services.

* An empathetic and non-judgemental approach to working with people.

* Knowledge and understanding of mental health and recovery services
in Ireland.
* Ability to work within a team and follow direction as well as the
ability to work alone and on your own initiative.
* Ability to enhance and expand support groups
* Organisational and time management skills to manage multiple
priorities in a complex work environment
* IT skills (MS Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Zoom, Salesforce)
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.
* A recognised third level qualification in a relevant health and
social care discipline
* At least two years' experience working in a relevant field
* Experience of facilitating groups
* Experience of co-production
* Training experience
* Full clean driver?s license and use of own car.
* Evening work and occasional weekend work is required.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
* Qualification related to Peer Support e.g. Peer Support Practice,
Peer Support Working in Mental Health, Mental Health Promotion or
Mental Health in the Community.
